About Asempa Publishers

Our Story

Asempa Publishers is Africa's leader in the publishing of all quality Christian literature - Christian Teaching, Practical Christian Life, Church and Evangelism, Marriage and Family Life, Children’s Books, Texbooks, etc.

Asempa Publishers is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG). We started as the literature committee of the Christian Council of Ghana, charged in 1960 with the responsibility of distributing Bible reading notes from England to the churches. Later, this service was extended to include the translation of these English Language notes into various Ghanaian Languages.

The official birthday of Asempa Publishers is 17th February, 1970. That is when the literature committee of the CCG formally decided to launch the Asempa imprint.

With over 50 years behind us and a core group of dedicated staff, Asempa Publishers has greatly impacted the Christian community with quality publications.

Our iconic Asempa Diaries are outstanding. They continue to serve as a source of information for our customers. The important dates page comes in very handy for many users and the lectionary serves as a preaching plan for a number of churches. We highly encourage you to grab a copy!

Christian Literature Week

In the last week of every October, Asempa Publishers celebrates Christian Literature Week to promote healthy reading within the Christian Community. All Heads of Churches, congregations and auxiliary groups are encouraged to place the celebration on their calendars in order to participate effectively.
